WHAT IS A COACHING?

Coaching is the process of active listening and asking the right questions to move the client forward. Coaches do not offer advice, insert their opinions, or judge, they simply hold space for the client in a way that allows clients to shift their perspective.

HOW IS A COACH DIFFERENT FROM A THERAPIST?

Therapists focus much on the past and how those events can be showing up for you today. Therapists are also able to diagnose mental health issues. If you are suffering from mental health issues please seek approval from your mental health professional prior to seeing a coach. Coaching on the other hand focuses on where you are right now, where you want to be and how to get you there.

HOW IS A COACH DIFFERENT FROM A CONSULTANT?

Consultants offer advice and direction in their field of excellence. A coach does not offer advice or opinions but rather leans into what the client values the most.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF COACHING IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Truthfully, coaching is not right for everyone. Coaching requires the client to have a willingness to change, grow and discover uncomfortable truths about themselves sometimes. Coaching is incredibly rewarding for those who are ready and willing. For those who are not sure I would recommend setting up a chemistry call first, if it's not a fit I have a solid network of other very talented coaches I can link you with.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM HIRING A COACH?

Anyone with room for personal or professional growth. Many of the world's most successful people use a coach in both personal and professional settings. Many coaches niche down. The types of coaches are endless including; Financial, Relationship, Creativity, Executive, Career, Family, Fitness or Wellness, and even Creativity coaches. As for me, I focus on the individual as a whole, one week we may discuss your big work project, and the next week we might be focusing on improving your family dynamic, you lead the way.

ARE COACHES LICENSED?

Unfortunately, no, at least not yet. Anyone can call themselves a coach. However, there is a rigorous process coaches must undergo to get certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). If you decide to work with a coach, please make sure they are ICF certified or were trained by an ICF accredited program. ICF members vow to adhere to a strict code of ethics respected worldwide.
